Copper MugBuild
Origin
Jim Meehan · PDT, New York · 2009
Developed by Meehan at PDT for Richard Betts's Sombra mezcal brand; a Moscow Mule template recast with mezcal and ginger wort.
A smoky twist on the Moscow Mule: earthy and refreshing.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Mezcal
- 4 oz Ginger Beer
- ½ oz fresh Lime juice
Instructions
- Fill a copper mug or tall glass with ice.
- Add mezcal and lime juice.
- Top with ginger beer and stir gently.
- Garnish with a lime wheel.
Tips
- Mezcal's smokiness pairs beautifully with spicy ginger beer.
- Use a joven (unaged) mezcal for the brightest smoke flavor.
