Piña Colada
Hurricane GlassBlend
Origin
Ramón 'Monchito' Marrero · Caribe Hilton, San Juan · 1954
Marrero is the most widely credited inventor; Ricardo García (also at the Caribe Hilton, c. 1953) and Ramón Portas Mingot at Barrachina (1963) have competing claims. Declared Puerto Rico's official drink in 1978.
Tropical paradise in a glass — creamy, sweet, and coconutty.
